Last December 14-28, I hosted a group giveaway entitled “Give Love On Christmas Day” mainly so we could donate at least $100 to a church in Manila so they could hold a feeding program for kids in the slum area. A total of 23 blogs participated and we were able to raise $110 for the feeding program from the bloggers that participated and an additional $300 that came from my relatives here in California who also wanted to contribute to my goal of being able to share some blessings to the less fortunate.

And last December 29, the Shekinah Christian Church in Nagtahan, Manila held their Christmas feeding program! Around 120 kids attended the event and they also received loot bags with fruits and chocolates inside. Aside from the actual “feeding” they also had a short program with songs and dances and some storytelling.

The Shekinah Christian Church and the kids would like to thank all the bloggers that participated in the Give Love On Christmas Day giveaway event and thus helped make their Christmas merrier. A lot of the kids who were there during the feeding program are not always able to eat 3 times a day. Most, if not all, of them are unable to eat healthy food because they just eat whatever they could afford. And a lot of them have not tasted Hershey’s chocolate before the feeding program. Their families struggle to provide for every need day by day. So your contributions were greatly appreciated, whether you’re a blogger who donated money or a reader who entered the giveaway and thus supported the bloggers!
