White Cloud has teamed up with Childrens Miracle Network (CMN) so they can create even more miracles in the lives of children who are receiving treatment in 168 US member hospitals! Just because the holidays are over doesn't mean we should stop thinking about ways to give back. Just this past weekend, my husband and I found out that our local church was in need of children's toys for the Nursery so we packed up some toys and donated them to our church.
How else can we give back? You can help one of the 168 member hospitals of the CMN by placing a vote on the designs made by children receiving treatment. Head over to the Voting App and choose your favorite design, or just check for the design from a child representing the nearest hospital and vote for them to show support to your local community! When you vote for a child's design, you not only give them the joy of seeing their own masterpiece on the shelves at Walmart, the local hospital will also receive a generous donation from White Cloud!
Those who vote for one of the designs will also be entered into a sweepstakes for $25 Walmart Gift Cards and the grand prize of a year's supply of White Cloud products! You can gain additional entries when your friends vote for their favorite designs using your link so be sure to share the contest to your friends!
Let's support companies that are giving back to the communiy even after the holidays are over! Find a store near you!
No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. The CMN Contests and Sweepstakes are sponsored by Kruger Products USA Inc. Entry period begins on November 29, 2012 and ends on December 28, 2012. I love pies. I used to regularly make pie for my family when I was single because I almost always had time for it. It's a shame that I can't make pie anymore now that I have a baby. I just feel like I don't have time for it anymore especially when my son always wants me to carry him in my arms whenever I'm doing something in the kitchen. He always wants to see what I'm doing and "help" me by taking the spoon and dabbing it onto whatever I'm doing.
So while I am (or my baby is) still in that phase, I think it would be more convenient for me to just buy pie from the grocery. And one brand that seems to have enough variety for everyone is the Edwards Crème pies. I'm loving their Strawberry Creme Pie! I just love everything strawberry!
Right now, you can send a holiday e-card to your loved ones with acoupon for Edwards Creme Pie! I'm sure that would brighten the recipient's day since one of most people's comfort foods is pie. Creating the e-card is very easy. Just choose beween 2 designs, enter the text you want to include in it, then enter the name and email address of the person you wish to send it to. Quick and easy! I encourage you to send an e-card to your friends especially the ones that won't be receiving material gifts from you. At least they know you remembered them.
What's awesome about Edwards Creme Pies is that for every pie they sell in November and December, they will send a $1 donation to Toys for Tots! They're not just making our Christmas merry because of their pies but they're also making Christmas merry for the kids that will receive toys from Toys for Tots!

One thing I love about the internet is the fact that you can have access to information 24/7. So in case insomnia attacks, you can go onlne and do a research on whatever topic interests you, like maybe how to cure insomnia. But with so many so-called experts online, it can get really confusing. Let me introduce some real experts then. Meet Dr. Jim and Bob from BlueShield of CA.
BlueShield of CA is a not for profit company that offers access to great doctors and alternative care (chiropractors, acupuncture). They have a wide range of affordable health plans. And as a company that seeks to help us with our health, they have given us this dynamic duo.
Dr. Jim and Bob's Fun & Helpful Health Advice is not only informative to the lay person. Its also a lot of fun. I have already watched a couple of their videos and I think what I like the most is their video on Heartburn. My husband and his family are so prone to heartburn even if they're really skinny people. But the video explains what actually happens during heartburn. They say that it doesn't necessarily happen only to bigger people even though most antacid commercials show overweight people getting heartburn. Here's the video.
I must say that Bob's quips and facial expressions are so funny! I love him already even if he's just Dr. Jim's sidekick. Imagine an assistant talk like that to his boss! LOL!
I love that BlueShield has thought of this kind of informative yet fun videos to educate people on various health care issues. We all know how short some people's attention span could get so keeping the videos at around a minute and a half is great too!
No one really enters the parenting world knowing every single thing about having a child. As they say, it takes a lifetime to be an expert in it. But you could always read parenting books to prepare yourself for when your baby comes and I sure wish I saw infographics like this before I gave birth to my son.
I like the “Expert Advice” portion below where it says that you’re the final authority on your child and that you can ignore unwanted or unnecessary advice. Too often, people will tell you what to do but you know your baby more than anyone else knows him/her. And if you’re confused, you can always consult your pediatrician.
Here are some more things you need to know and consider before your baby comes.

Can you believe we're already in the middle of September? In just a few weeks, we'll be preparing to celebrate the holidays! But wouldn't it be better if we start preparing now?
Yes! I think it's never to early to start shopping for holiday gifts! Imagine how much you can save if you're able to take advantage of every promo out there, such as KMart's free layaway, as you pick special gifts for your loved ones!
Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway is one promo you can't and shouldn't miss out on! Each week from September 9 through November 17, lucky customers will get credits to be applied to the remaining balance of their layaway up to a $500 value! There will be a total of 12,350 winners! Awesome, right?
I love layaway programs because it lets me purchase an item even if I don't have the cash yet! I just need to pay regularly! I can't tell you how much I hated it when I saw a pair of shoes that I couldn't buy because the store didn't have a layaway program! You may be asking how KMart's Layaway program compares to other retailers' programs. Well, a picture paints a thousand words so take a look at this.
If you ask me, it's definitely a wise decision to do christmas shopping at KMart. Not only do you get the best layaway program, you'll also get a chance to win the Big Layaway Giveaway so you won't have to pay the rest of your remaining balance! I sure hope I win! Here are some products I'd be purchasing — a Power Wheels Truck for my son and an Xbox Kinect for my hubby!

Things are just so different these days. I rarely use our landline phone because whateer I need to do on our landline, I can do using my cellphone or laptop. Instead of snail mail, we now use email or text. Instead of textbooks, we have e-textbooks. And instead of going to the bank, we just go to the bank's website.
Given that we do so many important things on the internet using our computers, have you thought about whether your computer is safe and secure against any type of attack?
Bitdefender Total Security can help you worry less about attacks from viruses, hackers, spam, phishing and spyware. Its features include the Bitdefender Safepay which automatically opens your online banking sites in a secure browser so you can feel safe about all your online transactions. It also has Bitdefender Autopilot which means it sets security measures without asking you about it every 5 seconds so there's no hassle.
Bitdefender AntiTheft is another feature Ilove about this. Not only does it protect your computer from online threats, it can also wipe, lock, track or locate your devices if it ever gets stolen or lost! I know I could really use this because my baby has the tendency to toss my cellphone around and I end up looking for it for days!
And those spammy links on Facebook (or any social media network for that matter), Bitdefender can protect your computer buy filtering the links you see and monitoring your privacy settings with its Social Network Protection. In relation to that, it has Parental Control Options to help you monitor and control your kid's online activity.
It's always better to be safe than sorry and that's why there are lots of antivirus programs out there. But Bitdefender is ranked as the #1 Antivirus program and is CNET's and PCMag's Editor's Choice. Those distinctions tell you that Bitdefender works better than any other antivirus software!
Bitdefender can be purchased directly from their website at http://www.bitdefender.com.

My husband works as a durable medical and rehab mobility equipment technician. His job is to repair equipment such as wheelchairs and power chairs (among others) to make sure that everything is working fine for their customers. One of the main things I ask him about is how their customers travel and he did tell me that there are vehicles that are modified to accommodate the mobility equipment needed. And I was glad to hear that an organization such as NMEDA existed for this purpose.
NMEDA, short for National Mobility Equipment Dealer Association, is a non-profit association of delaers and manufacturers, specialists and professionals for mobility equipment. They do not sell anything as an association but some of their members do sell equipment. NMEDA just simply works to improve the options of people with disabilities in terms of transportation.
What's great about NMEDA is that their dealers are QAP-accredited. QAP stands for Quality Assurance Program and is an accreditation program for the mobility equipment industry. This means that you can be sure about their dealers when it comes to quality, safety and reliability. Their dealers offer 24-hour local emergency assistance, on-site sales and support, as well as in-person individual evaluations to make sure that customers get exactly what they need.
Persons with dsabilities can greatly benefit from having a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. I remember my grandmother when we needed to take her to the hospital every week for her physical therapy. It was really hard for us to take her out of her wheelchair and into the passenger seat. So when my uncle got a wheelchair-accessible van for her, everything became so easy for my grandmother. She didn't run the risk of falling on the floor and it helped her stop feeling like she was a burden — because she's not and we love her!
Check out the NMEDA website and visit a NMEDA QAP (Quality Assurance Program) Dealer for mobility solutions now!

Fall isn't exactly my favorite season. Aside from the really weird weather, I don't really like the fact that plants and trees are entering what I call their "dying phase". But I just found out that we can Find beauty in the Fall and still have a colorful garden with Miracle Gro products!
In the next few weeks, I'd like to do a Fall gardening project. I just saw this photo on Pinterest and it looks so beautiful because the flowers look really healthy and vibrant!
Now I don't want my project to be exactly like this one. I'll need to separate these flowers into big pots instead and line them up on our front door since we don't really have a backyard. I'd like to have flowers that are as vibrant as those in the photo above and arrange them like the ones here in this next photo.
Can you imagine it now? I don't know about you but it looks great the way I'm imagining it in my mind! To help me make this project a success, I can use the Miracle Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix which is perfect for flowers in pots or containers Not only can I use this potting mix to my flowers outside, this is effective for indoor plants as well! It absorbs 33% more water and helps prevent over and under watering. What's more is that this potting mix can feed plants up to 6 months!
It's awesome how I can create really nice fall gardening projects without really exerting too much effort because of the help of Miracle Gro. Do you have an idea for a fall gardening prject? Head over to the Miracle-Gro Facebook page where you can share your astories and ideas and talk with fellow gardening enthusiasts!
My mother-in-law works at a hospital as a unit assistant and she always wears medical scrubs as her uniform whenever she goes to work. I notice though that she only has a handful of those scrubs and that she just does the laundry every now and then. It’s not too much of a problem for her because she only goes to work four times a week which means she really just needs 4 scrubs for the week.
Since Christmas is just a few months away, I think it would be a great idea to give her more sets of medical scrubs. I think she’ll appreciate it a lot because she doesn’t normally like receiving gifts that she won’t be able to use anyway (read: decorations or photos or whatever).
I just checked out MedicalScrubsCollection.com and found out that there are so many styles of scrubs! There are Grey’s Anatomy styled scrubs, Disney scrubs and a lot more. They also have scrubs for all sizes so I don’t have to worry about them not carrying petite sizes which I think is my mother-in-laws size. I might even buy some scrubs for myself if I decide to finally get back into working outside the home since my work experience is at a dental office.
